Rehearsal Dinner Cupcakes

These cupcakes took a long time to make but ended up better than I thought they were. I've never done this much to decorate before. I filled some of them, then frosted, sprayed with pearl spray, drizzled with white chocolate, sprinkled nonparels on, then added decoration! Check out the pictures...you can't see all the details but they were beautiful. I hope everyone liked them!

White Chocoloate Swirls

The order that I have this week is for a wedding rehearsal dinner. The want chocolate cake and lemon with raspberry cake. The colors are green with eggplant. They wanted me to incorporate the circles they had, so I decided to make white chocolate circles and swirls out of white chocolate. Everywhere I looked they did not have the colors I needed of white chocolate so I decided to use food coloring, but it's very hard to add food coloring to the mix without it getting too hard an thick too fast. You must work very fast in order for this to work. The first batch of green turned out great and I was able to make all the circles and swirls easily. Making the eggplant color was more difficult because I had to use 3 different colors to get the color right. Needless to say I am done with this part of the order, going to make the cupcakes tomorrow and frost/decorate them on Thursday. I will post pictures when I am done!

Good luck to me!

looking for a irridescent shimmer dust

So I finished my order for a birthday, Spongebob cupcakes. I bought what I thought would be this irridescent shimmer spray but ended up making them look kind of metallic. They. look cool but I still need to find This shimmer dust. I had a cupcake from Ivey Cake in Nashville that was the cupcake that Carrie Underwood had at her wedding. It was so pretty, but it had this irridescent shimmer dust on it with Pearl non perils.

I have to find this shimmer!!!

It's been awhile

So, it's been awhile since I've posted anything on here...but here I am now. I am just a girl who loves cupcakes and loves trying new and innovative ways to make new creations. I am up for whatever challenge and love learning about new ways to make cupcakes. I have been watching Cupcake Wars and DC Cupcakes and love seeing them come up with so many different things. My newest creation was for an order last week that I had, it was a spin-off of German Chocolate Cake. I called it Twisted German; German chocolate cake with chocolate frosting topped with toasted coconut. It was delicious, I am not usually a coconut fan, but this was quite tasty.

Coming this week: 2 orders I have, but something I haven't tried yet, Carrot Cake Cupcakes. I am really excited about this, hope it turns out :)

goodnight for now
