50th Birthday Cupcakes!

So I got to go to Denver for my Dad's 50th Birthday Bash last weekend! I ended up baking about 100 cupcakes, vanilla and chocolate. My little brother Gregory and I came up with a good idea on how to decorate them. Our dad loves fishing, so Gregory made a little guy out of Lego's to look like a fisherman and then we took pretzels and tied string to them to look like fishing poles. My sister Molly did a lot of the decorating too! She used brown sugar and graham cracker to make sand and nerds as the bait, she also used Goldfish crackers for the fish! It was so much fun getting to bake and decorate cupcakes with my sister and brother, I just wish they could help me all the time! They are both so creative at such young ages! I had a blast :)

Super Fun Aprons!

My Aunt Gail got me this apron from www.thesmartbaker.com! They have a conversion chart that is on the bottom of the apron so you can easily measure out everything with ease! It was so handy and I would recommend these to everyone! Check out their website!

Miss Sprinkles is sick! This is when I need an assistant!! I have so many orders this weekend and I don't even feel like moving from the couch or bed. I gotta get better ASAP!!!! I hate this being sick...I hope I can get these ordrers done!

3 Cupcake orders...

Just finished all 3 orders...carrot cake with buttercream frosting, Chocolate with caramel chocolate filling topped with creamy peanut butter frosting,  and Chocolate. Filled with raspberry rum creme topped with buttercream frosting.  These fillings have me so excited!! My creative juices start going crazy when I start making them!  I love using my Papa's honey in the filling instead of sugar.  It gives it a really creamy texture and great flavor.  I don't know why you wouldn't put filling in all of your cupcakes. 

I LOVE filling!!!!

New idea

So I'm really into trying new ideas...I just watched the end of Cupcake Wars.  The winner had a chocolate cupcake with raspberry vodka filling.  Sounds delicious!  I have 3 orders this weekend and I think I'm going to do a chocolate filled with raspberry vodka topped with yummy buttercream frosting.  The other two orders are chocolate with peanut butter and carrot cake!  The weather here is not so great so hopefully I can get to the store easily tomorrow....

I went to the grocery tonight and had 3 people come up to me to ask me about my cupcake hat! One guy even asked if he could take a picture because it was the BEST hat he'd ever seen!!! I will wear my cupcake hat EVERYWHERE what great FREE advertising!!

Ages : 5 to 21 years old

Includes: 2 cupcakes per guest
frosting (4 different colors)
filling - choose one: strawberry, chocolate or vanilla cream
sprinkles
decorations
boxes to take home your creations
candle for birthday guest
picture of each guest with their creation + picture of the party
Miss Sprinkles will be there to set-up and asist the guests

Pricing: $23 per dozen cupcakes + $5 per guest
